There are two UV Lamps in each DEL AOP 50 (previously named Solar Eclipse).  When the Quartz Tube (aka Quartz Sleeve) which house the UV Lamps becomes dirty, the ability to transmit UV rays from the Lamp are diminished.  Every 6 months, clean both UV Lamps' Quartz Tubes.  Download instructions below in our RESOURCE CENTER.

Occasionally, a Quartz Tube gets broken and needs to be replaced.  This is not common, so we do not encourage you to stock up on Quartz Tubes.

There are two different styles of Quartz Tubes for the DEL Ozone Solar Eclipse.  One fits the first series of Solar Eclipses; these have one closed end (like a test tube).  The other Quartz Tube fits current models and are open on both ends (like a paper towel roll/tube):

1. *7-2031-01 (previously known as 7-1758-01) fits the first generation of Solar Eclipses (SEC-100-26) - ONE OPEN END - Discontinued as of 2/24/23
   
2.  9-1420-01 (previously known as 7-1868-01) fits in the current model of Solar Eclipse (SEC-110-26) - BOTH ENDS OPEN
   

Replace the UV Lamps every 18 months.  Download instructions below.
