 IF YOUR OZONE GENERATOR IS YOUNG ENOUGH, YOU WILL BE ABLE TO UPGRADE IT WITH THE NEW (April 2022 new) RETROFIT KIT.  We are updating our website as quickly as possible so it will be easy to click on the unit you have, and the age, and you will know which parts you need to keep your system operating.

DEL's APG Ozone Technology is engineered with precision.  Outperforming UV, CD Chip and CD Electrode Ozone, the APG Ozone Technology has the longest lifespan yet, does better in humid climates and consumes the least amount of electricity. 

Any ozone generator utilizing the APG Technology is AUTO SENSING, DUAL VOLTAGE!  No longer do you need to know what voltage your old ozonator was (with the exception of the AEWARE cord which is physically different for 120V and 240V).

APG Ozone Technology is now being used in the following DEL Ozone Products:

  • AOP 25 (previously Solar Eclipse) utilizes (2) APG Ozone Modules
  • AOP 50 (previously Solar Eclipse) utilizes (6) APG Ozone Modules

AGP25 (known as Big Dipper until 2018) for Above-Ground Pools:

If you have an Eclipse ORIGINAL Pool Ozone Generator, you can update it now with the following Retrofit Kits:

  • EC-1 ORIGINAL (1999-2014) can be upgraded to an OZONE 25 by ordering Retrofit Kit 9-1321-01 which has (2) APG Ozone Modules
  • EC-2 ORIGINAL (1999-2014) can be upgraded to an OZONE 50 by ordering Retrofit Kit 9-1321-02 which has (4) APG Ozone Modules
  • EC-4 ORIGINAL (1999-2014) can be upgraded to an OZONE 100 by ordering Retrofit Kit 9-1321-03 which has (6) APG Ozone Modules

The 9-1056-01 APG Ozone Module was also utilized in the following DISCONTINUED products:

  • ZO-200 Portable Purifier (2015-2017)
  • ZO-400 Well Water Purifier (2015-2017)

    Easy install, replaces everything but, the housing, fuse and the cord. Down side: It does not allow you to see indicator lights unless you but holes in the cover!

  4. My experience installing the Retrofit kit for the EC-2 Eclipse ORIGINAL (1999-2014) for In-Ground Pools 4 Star Review

    I was able to install the EC-2 retrofit kit by myself and get it working. I am generally satisfied but I would like to point a few issues to potential buyers and to Del Ozone.

    1—DESIGN FLAW: The one major issue with the retrofit kit is that the lights that indicate the unit is functioning are no longer mounted in the LED viewing windows at the bottom of the case where the old ones were, so they are not visible. Instead they are mounted in the middle of the unit behind the metal cover. I tested while the cover was off and the green lights came on indicating proper function. But going forward, the only way to monitor if the unit is functioning is to remove the cover (and in my case this requires dismounting the unit from the wall).

    It would be good if there was a retrofit cover with a clear panel in the middle that would allow me to see the lights, or if they added replacement lights that fit in the old LED viewing windows. One star removed for this.

    2—INSTRUCTIONS: Although the instructions are generally good, there two things that are unclear in. I called support at Del Ozone and they were very helpful at resolving them.

    A – There are three holes in each module and the instructions say to insert screws in each and screw them into the rails on the backplate to attach the modules. However, there is no rail to screw into for one of the holes. Del Ozone told me it was okay to just use the two front screws.

    B - The instructions do not mention what to do with the old green intake tubing that brings air to the ozone modules and it looks as if it could be reattached to fittings on the new modules if I removed the caps on them. However, Del Ozone told me it was fine to discard it. The caps are air filters and get adequate air intake from inside the unit without any tubing.

    At the end of my support call when everything was finally working, the Del Ozone tech was thrilled I could install the kit successfully and said I had probably saved hundreds of dollars in installation charges by doing it myself.
